Setting Up Properties and Rooms

Guests choose where they'll stay before they book, so every retreat needs a property, and the rooms inside it are what guests actually pay for. This guide covers what each one holds and how to connect them to your retreat.

Properties and rooms

A property is the place itself: its name, category, description, facilities and photos. Rooms sit inside it and carry the capacity and the prices. You create the property first, then add its rooms. Only retreat listings use properties, so wellness services and experiences skip this step.

Create a property

Open Accommodations in your host dashboard and click Add Property. You'll choose a category, which is either Entire unit (villa, house, apartment, cottage, bungalow and similar) or Multiple rooms (hotel, hostel, guesthouse, lodge, resort, retreat centre and similar). Then add a description, tick the facilities the property offers, and upload photos of the exterior and shared spaces.

Add rooms

Under the property, click Create Room. The room form has three tabs: Details, Photos and Booking Settings.

• Room type: Single, Double, Twin, Triple, Quadruple or Dorm.
• Sharing: private or shared, so guests know whether they'll share the room.
• Maximum Occupancy: the most guests the room can hold, from 1 to 20.
• Availability & Pricing: under This price is for, choose Each person or The whole room or villa, then add a date range and a nightly price for each period you want to sell.
• Photos: every room needs at least one.
• Booking Settings: choose Instantly Bookable or Available on Request, and use the Active toggle to show or hide the room from guests.

Link it to your retreat

In your retreat's Accommodation section, pick the property under Link to Accommodation, or create a new one there, and set your check-in and check-out times. A retreat can't be published until it has a property linked. One property can be linked from several retreats, so you only need to build it once.
