Tripaneer (BookYogaRetreats) sets a rate per host, typically 15–20%, before you publish — it is not one published rate, and some organizers report their rate moving to 20% over time.

Do I have to delist elsewhere to join Finding Retreats?

No. Finding Retreats has no exclusivity requirement and never asks for rate parity with other platforms. Multi-listing is normal in this industry — most hosts list on two or three platforms at once rather than picking one. That means you can add Finding Retreats alongside your existing listings and keep everything live while you compare bookings and commission. Nothing changes on your other platforms if it doesn’t work out — you keep those listings as-is, and Finding Retreats never charges anything on bookings made elsewhere.

Does Finding Retreats charge more for high-volume or repeat hosts?

No. The commission is a flat 10% regardless of how many retreats you list or how many repeat bookings you get — there’s no volume tier and no opt-in program that charges more for better placement. BookRetreats, by contrast, has an opt-in 20–30% tier hosts can choose for improved search visibility, so higher-spending hosts can effectively buy better placement. The 10% commission is the only platform fee — there’s no listing fee and no subscription cost. Like every platform, payments run through Stripe, so standard card processing (roughly 3.5%) applies the same way it would on any platform — it’s not a Finding Retreats markup. BookRetreats calls out this same processing fee explicitly on top of their 15% floor, so the processing cost isn’t unique to us; it’s the 10% versus their 15%+ that makes the difference. There’s nothing else — no monthly charge, no per-listing fee.

Does commission apply to add-ons like private sessions, transport, or meals?

Yes — the 10% applies to the full booking price, and add-ons booked through Finding Retreats are part of that price. If your retreat includes private sessions, airport transfers or meals, fold them into the package price you list, so guests see one clear total before they book. There’s no separate add-on fee and no higher rate for extras: it’s the same flat 10% on the whole booking. Keeping everything in one price also means guests are covered by the same booking, payment and cancellation terms for every part of their stay.

What happens to commission if a guest cancels?

The commission is kept, not refunded. If a guest cancels and is owed a refund, the 10% commission (plus the Stripe processing estimate) comes out of the refund amount, not out of our pocket — the same way it would if the booking had gone through. If a vendor approves a refund directly, the platform fee is likewise retained rather than reversed. In practice this means commission is charged on every completed transaction, cancelled or not, the same as most marketplaces handle it.

Is there a minimum booking value or fee to list on Finding Retreats?

No listing fee, and no minimum booking size for retreats. Listing is free — you don’t pay anything to create or maintain a listing, and the 10% commission only applies to bookings you actually get. (Wellness services and experiences have a separate $6 minimum per booking on their 20% commission, but that doesn’t apply to retreat listings.) If nothing books, you owe nothing.

Finding Retreats pays out the day after your retreat starts — that timing is published and the same for every host. BookRetreats, Retreat Guru, and Tripaneer (BookYogaRetreats) don’t publish payout timing at all, so it’s not something you can compare until after you’ve signed up with them. That gap matters for cash flow planning, especially if you’re running multiple retreats a year. Finding Retreats treats payout timing as another number worth being upfront about, the same way it treats commission.
