How do I charge a different price on some dates?

For retreat hosts and team members who can edit the calendar. Menu: Bookings & payouts → Calendar.

Steps for a private room

1. Go to Bookings & payouts → Calendar.

2. Find the room's row. Press the first night, then the last night you want to change.

3. In the column on the right, find the Price per night card. If the nights have different prices, it says Mixed prices.

4. Press the price, type the new price per night and press Save.

5. Those nights now show the new price in bold. Bold means a special price.

Steps for a dorm, or to type the dates

1. In the room's row, select the first night you want to change.

2. In the column on the right, press Add a booking. A panel opens.

3. Choose the Set price tab.

4. Check the From and Until dates. The last night is the one before the Until date.

5. Type the Price per night. For a dorm this is Price per night per bed.

6. Press Set price.

Put nights back to the normal price

• Open the Set price tab as above, check the dates, tick Put these nights back on the room's price per night and press Use the room price.

• Or select the nights in the room's row and type the room's normal price again.

Change the normal price for every other night

• With no nights selected, press Pricing in the right column. Choose the Room, type the new Standard price per night and press Save price. Special prices stay as they are.

• This is the same price as Price per night in the room form.

Good to know

• A special price follows the room's This price is for setting: per guest if it's Each person, or for the whole room.

• Special prices apply to every retreat that uses the room on those nights.

• Your team members with view-only access can't change prices.

• Bookings already made keep the price they were booked at.

If something goes wrong

• "This room has no price yet. Set a price per night in the room first."

  Set the room's normal price in Properties first.

• "That would leave too many separate special prices…"

  The room has too many separate stretches of special prices. Join neighbouring stretches into one, or put some back to the normal price.

• "The prices changed while you were editing. Reload and try again."

  Someone else changed the prices at the same time. Reload the page and do it again.

• "Something went wrong. Please try again."

  Try again. If it keeps happening, email us.

Common questions

• Can I set a weekend price that repeats every week?

  Not yet. Select each weekend's nights and set the price.

• Is this the same as a discount?

  No. A special price changes what the night costs. A discount comes off the total for bookings that fit its rules, and guests see it as a saving.
