Cancelling a booking as a host affects your ranking. There is no separate fee.
What it costs you
Operational reliability is 23% of your ranking score, and your host cancellation rate lowers it.
Every host cancellation counts against that pillar, so the drop in search position grows with each one.
How to avoid it
Block dates in your calendar well in advance instead of cancelling confirmed bookings.
Talk to the guest first — a different room or date may avoid a cancellation altogether.
