When a guest cancels a retreat booking, the refund percentage comes from the cancellation policy on your listing and the number of days left before the retreat starts.
What the guest does
Opens the booking in their dashboard and chooses to cancel.
Gives a reason for cancelling.
Sees the refund percentage and the estimated amount for that day.
Confirms. The booking moves to Cancelled and the refund amount and percentage are recorded on it.
How the amount is worked out
Inside the full-refund window: 100% of the deposit the guest paid.
Inside the partial window: 50% of the deposit paid.
Inside the no-refund window: nothing.
The windows for each policy:
Relaxed — full refund 7+ days before the start, 50% at 2–6 days, none at 0–1 days.
Flexible (default) — full refund 14+ days before, 50% at 7–13 days, none at 0–6 days.
Moderate — full refund 30+ days before, 50% at 14–29 days, none at 0–13 days.
Strict — full refund 60+ days before, 50% at 30–59 days, none at 0–29 days.
Wellness services and experiences
These use a single rule instead of the four policies: a full refund with at least 24 hours’ notice, no refund after that.
