If the three presets don't fit your business, define a custom policy. Common reasons: graduated refund tiers, specific cutoffs, non-refundable deposits.
Set up a custom policy
Open Settings → Cancellation policies →
New policy
.
Name it.
Add refund tiers, each with: time-before-arrival and refund percentage.
Set whether the deposit is refundable.
Save and assign to listings.
Example custom policy
60+ days: 100% refund.
30–60 days: 75% refund.
14–30 days: 50% refund.
< 14 days: no refund.
Deposit non-refundable.
Tips
Custom policies must still be shown to guests at checkout in clear plain language. Don't hide complexity in fine print.
