Guest reviews are one of the biggest trust signals on a retreat listing, and they're also the heaviest-weighted input into your search ranking. Knowing where they show up and how to respond to them well is worth getting right early.
Every review a guest leaves on one of your retreats, wellness services, or experiences lands in your Reviews dashboard, in one place. From there you can see all your reviews, filter them, and tell at a glance which ones still need a reply.
The dashboard shows three running numbers: your total review count, how many reviews are still waiting on a response, and your average rating across the reviews currently shown. You can narrow the list by listing type, by minimum star rating, or down to just the reviews that still need a response — useful after a busy season, when a run of new reviews arrives and you want to work through the backlog in order rather than whatever loaded first. The list itself is paginated, so filtering before you start responding saves scrolling once you've got more than a page's worth of reviews.
Any review without a reply carries a "Needs Response" badge. Open it and a response form appears inline — write your reply and submit it, and it attaches to that review right away, visible to anyone reading the listing afterward.
There's no fixed formula for a good response, but a few habits generally serve a listing well:
Reviews on Finding Retreats run in both directions. After a booking ends, you also get a window to rate the guest — covering communication, respect, and cleanliness, alongside an overall rating. Bookings awaiting your review show up in a separate Guest Reviews dashboard, each with a countdown of the days left to submit one; once that window closes, the option is disabled.
To keep both sides honest, your review of a guest stays hidden — shown as "Awaiting Reveal" — until the guest submits their own review of the retreat, or 14 days pass, whichever happens first. That stops either side from adjusting their rating in reaction to the other's, and it's worth knowing about if you're wondering why a review you wrote hasn't shown up yet.
