A guest finds your retreat two ways: they see it in Finding Retreats search, or a search engine sends them to it directly. Both depend on the same two sections of your listing editor — Photos, and SEO.
The Photos section of your listing editor is where you upload, reorder, and manage every image on your listing, along with an optional video. Your first photo is the one guests see first in every search result and card, so it's worth treating that choice deliberately rather than leaving it to whatever order photos were uploaded in.
If your listing was imported from Book Yoga Retreats, its photos are migrated across automatically as part of that import, and the section shows you the migration status if anything didn't come across cleanly. Alt text on each photo is also generated to describe the retreat and its setting, which matters for accessibility and for how search engines interpret an image.
The SEO section is where you set the title and description that show up in Google and other search engines when someone searches for a retreat like yours. Finding Retreats includes SEO analysis tools directly in this section that score your current title, description, and content, and suggest improvements as you edit.
A search title and description written specifically for search does two different jobs from your listing's on-page name and introduction: it has to work as a single line of text competing against other results, within a strict character limit, rather than reading naturally as part of a full page. That's why it's a separate field instead of just reusing your listing's title and opening paragraph.
An imported listing has its search title and description written for you automatically, along with the rest of its rewritten text, rather than copying the ones from the source site. If you're not sure why, see "Importing Your Listing from Book Yoga Retreats" in the Getting Started section of this guide — the short version is that a search engine treats copied text as duplicate content and generally won't rank a copy above the original.
Whichever way your listing was created, both Photos and SEO are fully editable at any time, and it's worth revisiting the SEO section's suggestions periodically rather than only when you first publish.
