Finding Retreats has two ranking dimensions hosts should understand: which page of search results your listing appears on, and where on that page it sits. They're driven by different inputs.

Page ranking
Page ranking determines whether your listing appears on page 1, page 2, page 3+. Inputs include:
Listing completeness score (photos, description, schedule, inclusions).
Recent booking volume across the last 30 days.
Cancellation rate (lower is better).
Response time to enquiries (faster is better).
Average review rating.
Position ranking
Position ranking determines the order of listings on the page you appear on. Inputs include:
Relevance to the guest's search query (location, dates, retreat type).
Availability for the guest's dates.
Price competitiveness against similar listings.
Recency of edits — listings updated within 60 days rank higher than stale ones.

Tips
Most ranking improvements compound — improving completeness alone often moves you both up the page and onto an earlier page.
There's a separate explainer for guests at /how-ranking-works that uses plain language.
