Once your payouts are set up, the payouts dashboard in your vendor account is where you track what Finding Retreats owes you and what's already been paid. It's built around individual bookings rather than a single running balance, so you can see exactly which booking a payout relates to, rather than a total that's hard to trace back to any one event.
At the top, four summary figures give you the overview: pending payouts and how many payments make them up, payouts scheduled in the next 30 days, completed payouts, and total earned across both. Below that, you can filter the list to all, pending, or completed payouts, which is useful if you're specifically chasing down something that hasn't landed yet.
Each booking in the list shows:
This gives you a paper trail for every booking rather than a single lump total, which is useful when you want to reconcile a specific payment against your own records, or explain a fee to a guest who's asking about their charge.
Alongside payout setup, Finding Retreats supports adding tax information for your account, kept separate from your bank and Stripe details. This includes taxpayer information, such as your name, address, and a tax ID appropriate to your country, and, where relevant, VAT registration details. Hosts based in the US typically provide a W9, which Finding Retreats uses for 1099-K reporting at year end. Where you're based determines which of these fields actually apply to you, so a host outside the US will see a different set of requirements than a US-based individual or business.
It's worth adding this information early rather than waiting until year-end paperwork is due. Nothing about your payouts depends on it in the short term, but tax documents can't be issued to you correctly until your details are on file, and chasing this down after the fact is more work than filling it in once, up front.
At year-end, tax documents for the previous calendar year become available to download from your account once they're issued. Until then, the dashboard shows them as pending rather than available, which is worth checking if you're pulling together records for an accountant or preparing your own return.
