Importing Your Listing from Book Yoga Retreats

If you already have a listing on Book Yoga Retreats, you don't have to rebuild it by hand. Paste the URL during setup — or from the import option in your dashboard — and the platform pulls in the details, photos, and pricing to create a draft listing for you.

How the import works

Once you submit your Book Yoga Retreats URL, you can watch the import happen in real time as it moves through a fixed sequence:

• Fetching the page itself
• Extracting the retreat's details — dates, activities, accommodation, pricing
• Rewriting the listing's text so it isn't flagged as duplicate content
• Migrating your images across
• Creating your accommodation and rooms
• Creating the retreat listing itself

If this exact listing URL has already been brought into Finding Retreats before — for instance if it was previously scraped in as a placeholder — the platform recognizes that and hands the existing listing to your account instead of creating a duplicate. And if you run the same import a second time later, it updates that same draft rather than creating a second copy, so re-running an import to pick up changes on the source page is safe.

If the import can't find room or pricing data that used to be on the page, it still finishes and tells you what's missing so you can add it yourself, rather than silently leaving you with an empty listing.

Why your listing gets rewritten, not copied

Copying your Book Yoga Retreats page word for word would leave two near-identical pages live on the internet — yours and the original. Search engines treat that as duplicate content and generally keep showing the older, already-established page instead of your new one, which defeats the purpose of importing in the first place.

To avoid that, the platform rewrites the prose sections of your listing — the introduction, highlights, location description, accommodation description, food description, and similar text — into a different structure and different wording. It does not touch the facts: dates, prices, amenities, room details, and instructor names are carried across exactly as they appeared on the source page. Only the writing itself changes, and only enough to make the page genuinely distinct rather than a near-duplicate.

The platform also writes a new search title and description for you, since the source page never needed one written specifically for Finding Retreats.

Reviewing what was rewritten

Once your import finishes and you open the listing in the editor, you'll see a banner explaining that some sections were rewritten, along with a small "Rewritten for search" tag next to each specific section that was touched. Nothing about it is final — it's there so you know which sentences aren't the ones you originally wrote, and can edit anything that doesn't sound like you before the listing goes live. You can dismiss the banner once you've read it; the tags on individual sections stay in place.

Because the import creates a real draft rather than a preview, you can edit any part of it exactly as you would a retreat you built manually. Take the time to read through the rewritten sections in particular — the facts are guaranteed to be accurate, but the wording is generated, and you know your own retreat better than any rewrite can.
