Most retreats are safe and well-run. A few things to look out for so yours is too.
Before you book
Read reviews — recurring safety concerns are a red flag.
Check the host's qualifications — especially for physical practices.
Ask about safety briefings and emergency protocols.
At the retreat
Note where exits are and how to reach emergency services.
Drink water, take breaks, listen to your body — especially in heat or with intense practices.
Trust your gut. If something feels off, raise it with the host or contact Finding Retreats.
Reporting
If something happens, document it (notes, photos), tell the host, then report to Finding Retreats via the safety incident link.
