Maintain a high-quality listing over time

Why fresh content matters for ranking, and the edit cadence we recommend.

A listing isn't a launch-and-forget asset. Quality decays over time as photos age, descriptions get stale and reviews come in. Here's how to keep yours fresh.

Edit cadence we recommend

  • Light touch every 60 days — small description updates, refresh photos.

  • Substantial review every 6 months — re-read the listing as a first-time visitor would.

  • Full refresh annually — new hero photo, updated schedule, current pricing.

Signals it's time for an update

  • Reviews mentioning things "not in the listing" — the description is outdated.

  • Conversion rate drops (views to bookings) — search ranking algorithm has changed or competitors caught up.

  • Photos are over a year old — guest expectations evolve.

Ranking effect

Listings edited within 60 days rank higher than stale ones. Even small edits count.
